Derek Ozymy Obituary, Death – Ozymy David, who was 96 years old and a resident of Needville, passed away on January 17, 2019, two weeks before she would have turned 97. She was the daughter of John and Angelina Ozymy and was born on January 31st, 1922 in Ennis, Texas. Her parents’ names were John and Angelina. Mildred received her diploma from Ennis High School in the year 1939.

When Mildred’s family relocated to Dallas, she and her friends were involved as volunteers with the United Service Organization (USO). At a dance in Fort Worth, she met the man who would later become her husband, Ben. They were married a year and a half after they first met. Ben and Mildred chose to keep their home in Dallas, and it was there that they welcomed their first two children, Ronnie and Nancy.

Soon after, Ben’s employment moved the family to Tulsa, and that’s where Connie was born. The family traveled to Amarillo and Corpus Christi as a result of more transfers. In 1981, the couple moved to Lakeway for their retirement. Mildred thought of herself first and foremost as a mother and a homemaker. She never saw herself as anything else. She spent her free time playing bridge, golf, and dancing, as well as driving her children to and from their many activities.

When she wasn’t doing those things, she was cooking, cleaning, and sewing. Mildred’s parents, Ella Mae Faraizl and Albina Vrla, as well as her husband, Ben, passed away before her. She was also predeceased by her husband. She is survived by her son Ronald Lee David, her daughters Nancy Jo Kelsheimer and husband Steven Scott, and Connie Jene David, her grandchildren Lindsay Michelle Kelsheimer and Derek Scott Kelsheimer and wife Sarah Lea, her great-grandson Brayden Scott Kelsheimer, and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was born in the United States.

She was a homemaker. Her loved ones, both near and far, will miss her in a profound way. Donations can be made in memory of the deceased to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to convey their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown their support, love, and prayers at this difficult time. Elizabeth Williams, the staff of Supreme Memory Care (Needville), as well as the staffs of Fairmont Hospice and Greatwood Assisted Living, deserve special gratitude.
